Pump 22 is an Infusion Only syringe pump employing a microprocessor controlled small step angle stepping motor driving a lead screw and half nut. A key pad is used for data entry of flow rate and syringe diameter. The microprocessor calculates the cross sectional area of the syringe to be used and calibrates the flow rate for that syringe. A number of special features result from use of microprocessor technology
Since the introduction of the first pump 22 many features and innovations have been added to the pump to offer a complete line of pumps for multiple applications. We offer versions of the pump 22 for 4 microliter syringes, a 10 syringe rack and a syringe rack for 1 to 4, 60 ml or 140 ml syringes. An anti-siphon model is also available for infusion applications where the line pressure is lower than the syringe pressure. The anti-siphon bracket securely retains the syringe plunger to prevent unintended loss of fluid from the syringe. This is important for pumps positioned vertically.
