This metabolic cage is used for the efficient collection of urine and feces from a single mouse. The smaller chamber volume and collection tube design minimize evaporation. The funnel and cone design, with a steeper angle, separates urine and feces into separate collection tubes. Non-wetting funnel and cone are made of polymethylpentene (PMP) plastic to ensure immediate and complete separation of urine and feces. Cage is self-standing on a benchtop or shelf rack.
